(SENIOR) SYSTEMS AND NETWORK ENGINEER (SECURITY FOCUS)

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and responding to security alerts and incidents reported through the Security Operations Center (SOC), including investigating events, determining root causes, and implementing appropriate remediation measures
• Escalating critical security incidents to the security leadership team and coordinating the incident response process
• Documenting security incident details and maintaining comprehensive records
• Performing regular vulnerability scans across the network, servers, and applications, and analyzing scan results to prioritize and coordinate remediation efforts
• Conducting compliance scans to ensure systems adhere to industry standards and internal security policies, and reporting on the organization's security posture and compliance status
• Developing and maintaining a comprehensive patch management strategy, including monitoring for security patches and updates, testing, and deploying them in a timely manner to mitigate vulnerabilities
• Performing regular monitoring and maintenance tasks on servers, such as log reviews, system updates, and backup management, to ensure the overall health and availability of the server infrastructure
• Implementing security best practices to harden server configurations and minimize attack surfaces, and troubleshooting and resolving any server-related issues or performance problems

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in a security engineering role
• Strong knowledge of network and system security concepts and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, EDR, security systems and vulnerability scanners
• Proficient in vulnerability assessment tools
• Hands-on experience with patch management processes and tools
• Strong understanding of system hardening and security best practices
• Familiarity with network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Good Communication skills in Cantonese and English
